Imphal, Aug. 7: Manipur Police Sports Club bagged the 2nd Super Six Hockey Manipur Trophy, outplaying Youth Club cum Information Centre by 4-3 goals at Khuman Lampak hockey stadium.

Adeva fetched the equaliser from a penalty corner in the 23rd minute and converted a penalty corner in the 28th minute. Youth Club’s Y. Shyamchand fetched the equaliser in the 33rd minute from a penalty corner. P. Adeva shone again in the 53rd minute for a field goal and his hattrick. Youth Club came up with the equaliser through N. Jiten Singh in the 55th minute.

P. Priyokumar Singh struck the winning goal for the policemen in the 67th minute for the victory. Cosmopolitan Youth Club beat Super Sporting Association 7-6 to pick up the third slot in the super six.

Inter-school football: A. Rozio guided Imphal West to a solitary goal win to bag the champion’s title of the Under-17 Boys Inter-School Football Tournament, defeating Churchandpur at Khuman Lampak main stadium.

Muay Thai squad: Md Wahidur Rehman and Kh. Salim will feature in the Indian team for the 3rd Open International Amateur Muay Thai Championship 2011 in Bangkok from August 12-17.
