Tollygunge Club celebrated euphoric week of the second edition of the Tolly Fest, in association with The Telegraph. This time, the fest was held over nine days, from January 28 to February 5.The fest kick-started with a live performance by the rock band Indian Ocean on the club lawns, who made the crowd sway and dance to their soulful and nostalgic indie beats.
Chess and cricket made it to the list this year, taking the number of disciplines to 17, so that more members of the club could participate in the athletic carnival. The club members participated and sought to win in golf, equestrian, Scrabble, Fitness Challenge, darts, quiz, poker and many more.
Along with competitive sports events, the club also witnessed a rich variety of cultural performances, which included children’s activities, entertainment pop-ups and more, which made Tolly Fest a vibrant annual club carnival.

Indian Ocean made the atmosphere at Tolly Club magical, playing songs like Tu kisi rail si, Jhini re Jhini, Rebirth/Punar Janam from their new upcoming album, Leaving Home, Bandeh, and many more. Amit Kilam was on drums and percussion and Rahul Ram on bass
Aryavi Jaipuria was spotted enjoying the concert with his aunt Chandni Jaipuria, who also requested the band members to play Aryavi’s favourite track Leaving Home. “He is really fond of the beats and tabla of the track. He loves Indian Ocean and we are having a great time here,” said Chandni
Vocalist Himanshu Joshi.
“We grew up listening to Indian Ocean, and after many years got a chance to relive such an amazing band. Really feeling nostalgic today,” said Parno Mittrah.
“Euphoria all the way! I’m so happy and excited to see all the members here so excited for Indian Ocean. This fest epitomizes the distinctiveness of Tolly as a primarily sports club. The zest of our members to participate and compete is amazing,” said Tolly Club captain Sanjiv Dhir.
