Teamwork, discipline, fair play and a spirit of cooperation and harmony are the cornerstones of every business organisation. Held at The Spring Club last month, the second edition of the Indian Chamber of Commerce Young Leaders Forum T10 Cricket Tournament in association with The Telegraph presented the perfect opportunity to help foster these qualities in young entrepreneurs and future business leaders of the city.
Featuring six teams, the indoor tournament witnessed a healthy competitive environment where every player showed great determination and gave their hundred per cent. At the same time, it was marked by an easy camaraderie, warmth and sporting spirit that made it clear that each player was prepared to win in the game of life as well.
Each team consisted of 12 players and included at least one woman. Two teams were eliminated in the prelims and two in the semi-finals. In the final, team Zigma Fighters emerged champions after a hard-fought match, while India Gem Titans were the runners-up. A grand awards night was hosted at Trapeze, The Spring Club, to celebrate the event and give away prizes. Snapshots.
“It was a great tournament hosted by YLF. Kudos to chairman Mudit Beriwal and coordinator Abhenav Khettry. There was a friendly atmosphere throughout but no one was willing to concede an inch. Highly competitive matches and a nail-biting final brought a closure to the tournament. Camaraderie was amazing. I am already looking forward to the next edition,” said Anand Neotia, Most Valuable Player of YLF T10 Cricket Tournament.
“This was the second edition of YLF T10 tournament. We tried to make it bigger and grander than last year. All the teams played really well with full enthusiasm and sportsmanship. The aim behind these tournaments is to create fellowship and bonding amongst the members. Special thanks to my entire committee for making it a successful event. The active participation of members has made us decide to organise another sports event in the coming months,” said Young Leaders Forum chairperson Mudit Beriwal.
