The Telegraph Space Circle 31st Nite presented by Smirnoff Lemon Pop was a musical night full of fun at the club’s huge indoor stadium called Skydrome. Members of the club along with their guests started pouring into the venue in stylish attires to bid 2022 goodbye. Singer Priyanka Roy was the first one to take the stage followed by dancer Payel Banerjee and singer Shree Partha. The guests took the dance floor with cool dance moves and danced to old Bollywood hits.
The patrons of the club enjoyed the musical night with their families and friends with some mouth-watering snacks and spirits.

Skydrome was packed and the new year countdown started at 11.55pm and as the clock struck midnight, everyone cheered ‘Happy New Year’ and welcomed the new year with open arms and positive vibes.
DJ Tishya was up next and she played groovy songs to which the audience danced all night long.

Payel Banerjee put the stage on fire with her dance act with props like fire guns and performed to songs like Gali gali and Haseeno ka deewana. “This is my first time at Space Circle Club, so I am feeling very excited! Hopefully, I will give a wonderful performance for the audience,” smiled Payel, before her performance.
Singer Priyanka Roy started the evening with old and new Bollywood hits like Besharam rang, Dum maaro dum and Ghungroo. “I’m really excited to perform at Space Circle today, as it is my first time performing here. I wish everyone a very Happy New Year. I hope everyone stays safe and blessed in 2023,” she said.
Singer Shree Partha joined the guests on the dance floor with songs like Kesariya, Gulabi aankhein, Badan pe sitare, Badtameez dil and Aankh maare. “I’m very excited to perform for such a lovely crowd. I’ll be singing some old Bollywood hits and also the new hits. I’m going to start my lineup with my favourite song Tenu dhoop lagya ve. And I wish a very happy new year to the club and everyone present here,” he told t2 before he went up on stage.
Tripti Mukherjee (above) and cousin Anoushka Chatterjee were the first ones to hit the dance floor and show off some really groovy moves as Priyanka Roy sang Besharam rang. “‘I’ve been waiting for a long time to dance freely without any setbacks, and today I will be owning the stage with my cousin. I’ve a lot of New Year resolutions but will not be able to fulfill them all,” said Tripti. Anoushka shared she had a lot of fun memories at the club. “It’s been great coming back here after a long time. The stage is waiting for me!” she smiled as she rushed back to the dance floor.
DJ Tishya came up on stage at midnight and made the audience dance all night long to party songs like Subha hone na de, Kala chasma, Hips Don’t Lie and Party on my mind. “As the audience is already hyped up, I’m planning to keep the same mood on for the rest of the night with some wild party tracks. And I wish everyone a very happy new year,” she told us.
Sip n Bite
Lip-smacking snack items like Fish Garlay, Chicken Pakora and Alishaan Paneer Tikka were the bestseller for the night as the guests ordered them aplenty to keep their tipple company.
The dinner had some light yet tasty north Indian specialities like Mini Butter Naan, Amritsari Fish, Paneer E Phuktan and others and also live roomali roti and pasta counters.
Style picks
Rupsha Roychowdhury ditched the usual colours of the new year night and wore an eye-catching neon yellow top which she paired with a black skirt and a grey overcoat. “It’s my first time here at Space Circle and the ambience is nice and warm,” she smiled.
Debarati Dutta kept her NYE look simple and chic. Formal pants with a silver crop top and colourful jacket. “I hope the new year doesn’t bring Covid back again so that Space Circle keeps hosting such great events for us,” she said.
Subarna Ghosh donned a metallic dress, styled with a cashmere stole and animal-print boots. “I hope the new year brings happiness to everyone’s life,” she said.

As the clock struck 2023, everyone wished each other a happy new year, cheered, hugged and kissed their loved ones.

“I find new year eves really special as it’s an end of something and beginning of something new. So I’m here with my friends to enjoy the ending of this year and welcome the beginning of 2023,” said Debosmita Sur.
“It’s my eighth time in Space Circle club. I really enjoy coming here and am ending the year here today with some entertainment and relaxation,” said Chandrani Chakraborty.
