Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur FC's first home win on Wednesday has led to the rise in ticket sales for Sunday's ISL outing against Delhi Dynamos FC in the steel city.

Supporters were seen crowding ticket counters outside JRD Tata Sports Complex in Bistupur on Friday, clearly indicating a packed stadium on Sunday.

Tickets of Rs 50, Rs 150, Rs 200 and Rs 240 denominations are selling in large numbers while those priced at Rs 50 have already been exhausted.

"The demand for tickets has gone up both online and offline. So far, about 16,000 tickets have already been sold and the rest is expected to be exhausted by tomorrow (Saturday)," said an official of Kyazoonga.com, official ticketing partner of Jamshedpur FC.

Over 21,000 people were present during the JFC-Kerala Blasters FC encounter on January 17 while the figure was a little short of 24,000 during the tie versus Mumbai FC on January 5. Other matches against ATK (December 1), FC Pune City (December 10) and Chennaiyin FC (December 28) saw a packed house at the 24,000-capacity stadium.

"JFC ko jitana hain. Team form mein aa gayi hai. Ab toh koi nahin rok sakta (We have to make JFC win. Our team is back in form and nobody can stop them now)," said Sunil Tantubai, a Karim City College student and resident of Sidhgora.

Keeping in mind the craze for the match, there are high chances that some tickets may be sold at a premium rate.

This time the rise in ticket sales can also be attributed to the favourable timing of the match. "The match on Sunday starts at 5.30pm rather than late in the night. Fans would like to root for the home team in a comparatively warmer weather. Both winless shows and bone-numbing chill had affected the footfall in the earlier matches," said a JFC official overseeing the sale of tickets.

Jamshedpur FC CEO Mukul Choudhari said the win against Kerala Blasters FC had certainly boosted the confidence of supporters. "We have been playing well till now and like any other venue supporters will always root for their home team. It will definitely be a houseful match on Sunday," added Choudhari.
