Jamshedpur, Sept. 1: Budding singers in the steel city got an opportunity to showcase their talent in a musical programme, Meri Awaz Suno, which was held at Milanee Hall in Bistupur today.

Eight male and female singers participated in the event organised by Swar Lahri, a cultural organisation which promotes local singers. The participants were selected from among 15 aspiring singers after an audition, which was held at Bhalubasa Community Centre on August 30.

The participants sang both old and new songs, which were suggested by judges N.K. Dhiman and Prem Agarwal.The judges helped singers overcome their nervousness by encouraging them. “The programme is aimed at spotting local talents and give them a platform to showcase their skills,” an officials added.
