Jamshedpur, Dec. 16: Say it with egg shells.

That seems to be the latest communication channel that the Gen-X has devised to put their thoughts across. Cynics might scoff but a small and fresh green leaf, with messages inscribed on it and put in an egg shell is actually doing the trick for the younger generation.

Christened ?Magic eggs?, the beautiful ceramic egg, which was recently launched in city markets and is developed with the latest technology, has caught the fancy streaming young customers.

Each egg shell, dabbed with bright colours with a nose and expressive eyes painted on it, has a different story to tell. From the cheerful and excited to the absolutely confused, every emotion is reflected through these lines embossed on the white ovals. And that?s not all, colourful ribbons tied across it lend it a charm of its own.

These magic eggs contain a small rust coloured seed, which gives rise to a small plant with a leaf displaying messages of the heart. ?Proper care needs to be taken of the eggs and they have to be watered everyday. But people usually fill up the entire egg with water, which is not the right way to do it. It is after all a very delicate little thing which must not be put out in direct sunlight,? said Rajesh Vasani, the proprietor of Archies Gallery in Bistupur, who sold about 250 pieces within a short time.

The response at Hallmark, who witnessed a mammoth sale of 100 pieces in around 15 days, was also the same.
