Ranchi, July 25: All Jharkhand Students’ Union (Ajsu) leaders today called Gumla bandh in protest against the killing of three persons, including district Ajsu president Sobran Ansari (45), on Tuesday.
Most of the shops and business establishments at Gumla town and its suburbs remained close during the 12-hour bandh.
Irate Ajsu cadres set up road blocks halting movement of passengers and goods vehicles on the Gumla-Ranchi road. However, the road blocks were lifted after several hours following intervention by the district administration.
