US ambassador Richard R Verma meets chief minister Raghubar Das at his Kanke Road residence in Ranchi on Thursday. Pitching for Advantage Jharkhand, the chief minister, chief secretary Rajiv Gauba and a battery of key bureaucrats told the US ambassador about the many areas of investment in the state such as mining, automobiles, IT, defence, education, clean energy and so on in an hour-long meeting from 9.30am. Verma also called on governor Droupadi Murmu at Raj Bhavan and met business leaders. "Insightful visit," he said before flying back to Delhi in the afternoon.
