Once more, Naveen Patnaik stands tall as most popular Chief Minister

There's no stopping Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who according to the India Today Mood of Nation poll, has been adjudged as the No 1 Chief minister in home state again with a 78 per cent popularity.

Naveen's position stands stronger vis-a-vis the previous polls where he got 71 percent.

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma stands next with 63 per cent popularity in home state and he is followed by MK Stalin of Tamil Nadu who has a popularity of 61 per cent.

As per the survey, if Lok Sabha elections are held now, Narendra Modi would race ahead as the PM with a 53 per cent popularity.

Former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi is way behind with 9 per cent preference.

In the same scenario, the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance would bag 286 seats with the Congress led-United Progressive Alliance winning 146 seats. Others will end up with 111 seats.

Patnaik started trending on social media with the #NaveenAlwaysNo1 calling the shots soon after the results were released.
