Heavy rain lashed New Delhi on Saturday, crippling traffic movement and causing waterlogging in many parts of the national capital.

Places such as Minto Bridge, Connaught Place and ITO were inundated after intense showers.

The India Meteorological Department said Delhi recorded 139mm of rainfall, the highest single-day rain for August in at least 13 years.
