Captain Rohit Sharma scored 27 off 28 balls. He was dismissed by Chris Jordan after 8.5 overs.

Jos Buttler's unbeaten 80 off 49 balls and Alex Hales's 86 not out off 47 balls helped England chase down their 169 target.

Hardik Pandya scored 68 off 33 balls. His fearless hitting took India to 168 for six but it was just about a par-score at the Adelaide Oval. He was dismissed on the last ball of the innings by Chris Jordan.
