Botox break

Madhuri Dixit is slated to start shooting for the fifth season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa mid-June. So, where is the actress now? News is that the Dhak dhak lady has flown back to the US for some much-needed R&R. A bitchy production hand from the show insists that Madhuri has flown westwards for some “beauty treatment”. “She obviously wants to look her best on the show and some Botox won’t hurt. If only she could do something about her dress sense and those pageanty hairdos that she loves so much,” he adds. If Madhuri does come back looking younger and fresher, you’d know why.

Aamir Khan

Date duel

Aamir Khan has lived with the Mr Perfect tag for a while now but the actor is really not all that perfect. Caught up with Satyamev Jayate, Aamir requested producer Aditya Chopra to shift the shoot of Dhoom:3 to June from May. According to the buzz in the corridors of Yash Raj studio, not many are happy with the shoot of D:3 being postponed. The problem with the delay was that his D:3 co-star Abhishek Bachchan lost out on a film because he thought he would be shooting for this in May.

Abhishek Bachchan

Bachchan Jr was offered Prakash Jha’s Chakravyuh but had to refuse, citing date problems. Jha promptly signed up Arjun Rampal for his cop drama while Abhishek got on with completing Bol Bachchan, thinking he would start D:3 immediately after. When D:3 got pushed back, thanks to Aamir, Abhishek was understandably upset as he had been looking forward to working with Jha. On the upside, he has hopefully spent all his free time in the gym so he doesn’t look as out of shape as he did in the earlier instalment of Dhoom.

No love lost

After floundering for a couple of years, this young actor seems to have found his niche in Bollywood. With three back-to-back hits, he should be more than content with his career and not bother about the competition, right? Wrong. After all, his closest competitor is a thorough-bred actor who most industrywallahs consider to be the superstar of tomorrow. While both actors have gone to great lengths to show how close they are, even co-hosting a couple of award shows in the past, apparently there is no love lost between the duo or their mothers. “The actor was approached for some work by a company that also works with his competitor. His mother was very categorical that they didn’t want to work with them because of the company’s long-standing association with the other actor,” says a source. Trade pundits insist that it won’t be long before both the young stars do away with all the niceties.
