John Travolta’s sheriff takes the responsibility of protecting a family from a dangerous and vengeful New Orleans mafia in the trailer of the upcoming film Mob Land, unveiled by Lionsgate Movies on Tuesday.

The two-minute-16-second-long trailer shows a desperate father Shelby (Shiloh Fernandez) robbing a pill mill with his reckless brother-in-law for his daughter’s treatment. However, the supposedly easy score takes a violent turn after their confrontation with the New Orleans mafia.

Now, they face the mafia’s revenge-seeking enforcer, who threatens to kill Shelby’s wife and daughter. On the other hand, the local sheriff Bodie Davis (Travolta) tries to maintain peace by protecting the family from the looming threat of the mafia.

With its unpredictable twists and turns, Mob Land promises to be an edge-of-the-seat action thriller.
