A fan of high-octane, adrenaline-inducing action flicks? Then get set for the AXN Action Awards — the rare award that celebrates and recognises the achievement of action in Indian films. In its fourth edition now, the Action Awards have become very popular over the years, with many Bollywood actors lending their support to it. “Action has always been an integral part of Bollywood, but has never got the recognition and praise it deserves,” Rohit Bhandari, senior vice president of AXN, tells t2. Completely determined by viewer’s choice, the AXN Action Awards felicitate the best in various categories, the chief among them being Best Action Star, Best Action in a Negative Role, Best Action Film, Best Action Sequence and Lifetime Achievement in Action.

Season 3 host Neha Dhupia returns to anchor the fourth edition of the Action Awards. “Neha brings a lot of style and pizzazz to the awards and has done action in films like Singh Is Kinng,” says Bhandari. The Julie girl is equally excited about hosting the awards one more time. “I respect the ideas and talent that go into creating an action sequence, and I am thrilled to be a part of the platform that celebrates these deserving individuals,” she says.
