Barely a week after it emerged that Angelina Jolie can also pilot a plane, the actress has revealed that her son Knox — one of her biological twins with ex-husband Brad Pitt — is learning to fly a plane.
The actress, who got her flying licence in 2004, was seen piloting and landing a plane over the Namibian desert in a recent show.
We hear she was inspired to train while watching planes taking off and landing at an airfield where she and son Maddox — her first child, adopted in 2002 — used to have lunch.
Now, 9-year-old Knox is following in his mother’s footsteps. “I love being up in the air. I love the freedom. Knox is now learning to fly. It makes me crazy happy to see him discover it. He still needs help with the pedals, but won’t for long,” Jolie said in The Queen’s Green Planet documentary, the show where fans see her flying.
If Knox takes after his mother in the sky, siblings Maddox and Pax are interested in films. Pax had a small role on the sets of his mother’s directorial venture, First They Killed My Father, and Maddox served as an executive producer.
Her daughter Shiloh, born to the actress and then partner Brad in 2006, has gone to refugee camps and is passionate about wildlife conservation.
