Are you a jewellery person?
Oh yes, I am. I love to wear lovely pieces with different outfits. I like everything — gold, diamond, platinum.

What do you love to wear to a party, a traditional function and an informal gathering?
With traditional wear like a gorod sari, I like long neckpieces. I just tie my hair in a bun and put some kohl. For a party, I would wear a choker with a sari or a gown. For a casual gathering, I can wear a nice pendant with a V-neck top. Or, a pendant with a shirt teamed with well-fitted jeans or a palazzo.

Do you have a fascination for any particular kind of jewellery?
I have a fascination for rings. I have a good collection. There is a particular ring that I will always wear. You will see that in most of my pictures (laughs).

Your fave heirloom?
I have got a few from my grandparents such as a gold watch, a beautiful ghungroo, a nice brooch and some lovely neckpieces.

Your fave jewellery piece?
There are some — like my engagement ring or the jewellery that I got on my 16th birthday.

An actress who you think carries jewellery the best?
Rekha! She can carry gold nicely with her Kanjeevaram saris.

What do you like about The Eterna Collection?
The Eterna Collection, very rightly, is all about poetry in gold. It speaks of intricate craftsmanship and lovely designs. It was launched in Los Angeles and as a result of the reaction from the buyers, P.C. Chandra Jewellers launched it in India. There are some pieces that are a unique blend of West and East. There is always a high amount of trust and faith because you know they give you the best.

NEW IN TOWN: Actress Raima Sen checked out Nee & Oink, a design den in Jodhpur Park that opened doors on Thursday. Fashion designers Dev and Nil also dropped by to wish sister duo Oiendrila and Neelakshi Ray on their maiden venture. “Quite impressive! Nee & Oink has a cute collection for moms and kids. The store has an element of fun with little details,” said Nil. Picture: Rashbehari Das
