Vivarta, a Kathak composition by dance troupe Kadamb, choreographed by Kathak exponent Kumudini Lakhia, set the ball rolling for The India Story 2017 at GD Birla Sabhagar on December 19, and the hour-long production kept the audience hooked. “We couldn’t have asked for a better curtain raiser for The India Story 2017 than such a timeless dance recital. Every dancer under her masterful eye presented classical India in a way that artistically communicated and connected with today’s pulse. We hope that TIS’17 can achieve the same for its audience,” TIS founder Madhu Neotia told t2.
Madhu and Harsh Neotia took a break from playing hosts to pose for the t2 camera in front of the TIS tiger mascot. What did Harsh think about The India Story? “I am a harassed husband when Madhu gets busy with India Story for two-three months every year,” he quipped. On a serious note, he said he was looking forward to being in the art zone at TIS. “It’s going to be a fun event for everyone. My area of interest is art and installations,” he added.

The India Story 2017, in association with t2, is being held at Swabhumi from December 21 to 24, 11am-9pm for retail and till midnight for F&B and performances
