Summer break is here and we need all possible help during it to stay cool and refreshed enough to handle coursework. The best way to beat the heat are tall, frosted glasses of deliciousness. Team YOU has put together three quick, three-ingredient recipes that make use of fruits that are the saving grace of the hot season.

Watermelon slush

This takes only five minutes and three ingredients

Ingredients

5 cups diced watermelon, seeds removed

2 tablespoons sugar

Juice of 1 lime

Method

Combine watermelon, sugar, lime juice and 1 cup ice in blender until smooth. Pour it into four glasses, garnish with a quarter of melon and serve. You can also double the ingredients and blend them without ice. Store in a bottle in the fridge and drink when thirsty.

Kiwi punch

The sweet tart kiwi is a nutritional powerhouse that is available round the year

Ingredients

7 kiwis, peeled and cubed

1/2 cup sugar

2 limes, juiced

1 cup water

Method

Puree the kiwis in the mixer. Add sugar, lime juice and water. Mix until sugar is completely dissolved. Strain the juice into small glasses filled with ice cubes. You can garnish with a slice of kiwi or of lime.

Litchi and dill juice

The lime and fresh dill add some zing to this queen of summer fruits

Ingredients

250g litchis, n 1 lime, juiced

A few sprigs of dill

4-5 ice cubes

Method

Peel the litchis and remove the seeds. Put them in a blender along with the lime juice and dill. Mix until smooth. Strain into a glass, top with ice cubes and garnish with a sprig of dill.
