My weekends consist of just one day and that’s Sunday. That’s because Saturday is all about work. I spend almost the entire day at my Tea Shop in Dakshinapan and even though, it shuts at 7.30pm, by the time we wind up, it’s well after eight. But even though I have a long day at work, I love going out on Saturday nights. That could either mean catching up with friends or dining at some restaurant or the other. I love checking out the latest food hubs in town and just recently, I was quite impressed with One Step Up, Tamarind and Charcoal. I’m basically drawn to Continental cuisine and no restaurant can do it better than my all-time favourite, Mocambo. I also love the Chinese food at Mainland China.

So, Saturday is usually a late night for me. Unfortunately, my husband Sougata is busy most of the time. But I make it a point to socialise and catch up with life and my huge circle of friends.

Sunday mornings start at about 9am and I reserve the first half of the day for my household chores. I especially love spending time with my plants, doing the weekly bazaar at Lake Market ? always a great experience ? and pampering my beloved Labrador pup, Naughty. Lunch is almost always at The Tollygunge Club with a gang of friends, followed by a good nap. The evenings are devoted to my computer and wrapping up any paperwork. Sometimes, I even do some tea-tasting and go over the new tea buys of the week. Sunday evenings are also a time for the movies. The most recent film I saw was 15, Park Avenue and my verdict: brilliant!
