MY WEEKEND

My weekends usually tend to be very full. I start unwinding from Friday evening itself, which I usually keep aside for music. I am an avid listener of Hindusthani classical music, though it’s not like I don’t appreciate other genres. So almost always, my Friday evenings are reserved for some musical performance or the other.

On Saturdays, I work during the mornings, though I change the routine a bit. Instead of going to my workshop like on most other days, I go to my boutique Kanishka’s where I meet and interact with my clients. It’s very satisfying to get feedback from the people for whom I create my designs. I usually return home in the afternoon for a late lunch with the family. My husband Dilip and I love to go to the CC&FC on Saturday nights too.

Sunday is a leisurely day. I go for a walk on the CC&FC grounds and usually stay back for a bit of tea and toast and a good chat with my morning walkers’ circle. During summer, I also do a few laps in the club pool. The rest of the day is taken up by friends and family. We love entertaining and Sunday afternoon lunches are usually an elaborate affair for a large group of people. Sometimes, I cook if I am in the mood. I prefer staying at home during Sundays listening to music and spending time with my family. Sometimes, we also go out in the evening to catch a movie. Occasionally our son Prateek accompanies us. We may drop in at the club again afterwards or go to a friend’s place. And before you know, the weekend gets over.
