My weekends are reserved only for the children and I usually go along with whatever they decide to do. I have two daughters who love to take me out for movies and in fact, for the coming weekend, they have booked tickets for the whole family for the technicolor Mughal-e-Azam. My husband Raja loves the movie in its original avatar, so much so, that he?ll leave anything to sit down to watch it. I too loved the film because of Madhubala?s acting, but this time, we are going for it for Raja?s sake.
I quite enjoy cooking and whenever I get the opportunity over a weekend, I love making pickles in the South-Indian style. I also make vadas and rasam for my kids during the weekends. I am very fond of two things ? good food and shopping. For me, good food should be really spicy. So, whenever we eat out, we end up at Sagar or the Taj Mansingh. On Saturdays and Sundays, I sometimes even take my children out to shop for jewellery and nice clothes. We usually visit Nalli?s and Connaught Place when we are out on a shopping spree.
Raja does not like travelling much, so my sister Kaushalya and I take the children out whenever they feel like going out of town. But whatever way I decide to spend them, I cherish my weekends a lot because throughout the week I stay busy practising and Raja does not let us off easily during the dance sessions.
