Merry mix

Tollywood star Prosenjit slipped on a pair of gloves and donned a chef’s hat before he got his hands dirty at the annual cake mixing ceremony at Flurys on November 17 at the confectionery chain’s Park Street outlet. Dried fruits, nuts, spices, juices, alcoholic beverages and more were tossed into the mix with which the Christmas cakes will be baked.

Tollywood star Prosenjit slipped on a pair of gloves and donned a chef’s hat before he got his hands dirty at the annual cake mixing ceremony at Flurys on November 17 at the confectionery chain’s Park Street outlet. Dried fruits, nuts, spices, juices, alcoholic beverages and more were tossed into the mix with which the Christmas cakes will be baked. Prosenjit was joined by Vikas Kumar, Flurys’ executive chef, Rajesh Singh, director of operations and development, and children from the NGO Ananda Ghar. “Cake mixing is considered to be ushering in good tidings and happiness. Over the years, cake mixing has become a custom. This year the festive celebrations at Flurys are sure to create memories filled with joy,” said Singh.

All geared up with their gloves and Santa hats, the staff and guests of Park Plaza joined hands for the cake mixing session at the Ballygunge hotel on November 17. Nuts, dried fruits, tutti frutti and red wine were added to the mix. “Expect an array of Christmas cakes, fruit cakes and gateaux.
