Every time you open Facebook or Instagram, are you flooded with pictures of friends vacaying in Switzerland? And does the thought of Swiss chocolates and yummy cheese make you upset? If your answer is in the affirmative, then it’s time to beat the blues and head to the Swiss Food Festival in association with t2, at The HHI.
On till February 14, the food festival has dishes from the Swiss land and there’s a variety of cheese and chocolates on the menu. Executive chef Bipul Majumder has curated a menu that has the classic fondue and Raclette to choose from, besides other delectable bites that can be ordered a la carte and also be found on the buffet spread.

Ripple (Pork Chops) is a standout dish on the menu. The pork chops that have a fine ratio of meat and fat are first marinated with olive oil, rosemary and garlic paste and then grilled. The pork chops are layered with Swiss cheese and baked for 20 minutes till the cheese melts and the pork is tender. Apple sauce is then drizzled on top. The main course is accompanied by grilled potatoes and sauerkraut. Rs 825
How about some crisp freshly-baked puff with a portion of meat pie at the centre? Yum! We loved Pastetli, especially because we heart how the patty balanced the rich taste of the meat pie that was served with mushroom ragout. Must try! Rs 625
Enjoy the Raclette with your family! The dish is made with raclette cheese which is molten in the raclette grill and scraped off. It is accompanied with potatoes, onion, bread, mushroom and pickled onions.
“We have flown down this table-top raclette grill from Switzerland to maintain the authenticity of the dish,” said executive chef Bipul Majumder. Rs 1,125
Fondue, one of the most iconic Swiss dishes, sits pretty on the menu. We couldn’t get enough of the Chocolate Fondue that is made with Lindt chocolate! Choose from strawberry, kiwi, jujube candy and papaya and dip it in the molten pot of goodness! Rs 625
Swiss Cream Soup with Octopus is an ideal soup for the soul. Made of fish stock that is prepared over a period of eight hours, this appetiser is light in spite of the cream, cheese and veggies in it. The highlight of the soup is the grilled tender octopus which is chopped and added last to the soup. Rs 525
