Gargi Roy Chowdhury » actress I am a complete M.A.C person whether it’s professional or party make-up. From my kajal and eyeshadow to lip liner and lipstick I swear by M.A.C cosmetics. They are gentle on my skin and very light. In fact, Studio Fix from the brand works as a great base. I also believe that it is very important to remove make-up properly. So, as soon as I return home from shoots I remove make-up using homemade coconut oil and cleanse my face using a facewash from The Body Shop. I also use a moisturiser and night cream from The Body Shop. For toning, I often spray rosewater on my face. |
I am a 14-year-old girl with oily skin. Whenever I wear kohl it smudges. How can I avoid this?

The best way to prevent eye make-up melt down is to invest in a long-wear and waterproof formulation like the Colossal Kajal smudge-proof kohl pencil by Maybelline. Also, to help make kohl stay longer gently dust the eyelid with face powder to absorb excess oil or moisture. Or rim your eyes with a gel or liquid liner and then fill in your eyes with kohl. This will give the kohl something to cling on to and stay longer without smudging.
I am a 17-year-old girl with sensitive skin. When I go out in the sun it becomes red and I get a tan despite using sunscreen. Please help.

Remember that SPF only works properly if it is applied properly. Most of us only apply a fraction of what we actually should in order to get the full benefit from a sun protection.
If you have sensitive skin, you are better off sticking to a sunscreen or sun-block that contains micro reflective particles that act like millions of tiny mirrors reflecting the damaging rays away, includes titanium dioxide and zinc oxide and instead of SPF 15, you can go for SPF 25.
Tip: Sunscreen, kept in a cool place, should last for about a year, definitely no longer than two years. So, get rid of all those old bottles of sunscreen that are sitting in the bottom of your cupboard!
