Glam goddess

When it comes to make-up, style is whatever you want it to be. It can be glamorous, pretty or natural. Deciding on what kind of make-up to wear this festive season will depend on you. You might start with very little in the morning, and add the ‘bling’ in the evening.

Morning glory

Foundation: use it as the base to even out your complexion. If your skin is radiant and beautiful then skip the foundation and go for a light dusting of loose powder to create a dewy look. Blush: sweep peach blush onto the cheeks for dainty perfection. If your cheeks are naturally rosy, then just leave things to Mother Nature. Eyeshadow: stick to a light wash of colour. Draw inspiration from your outfit. Keep the colours feminine and fresh. Sweep pearlescent pink and rose over the lids and finish with a defining streak of liquid black or purple liner. Lips: line and fill the lips with bubblegum pink and finish with a touch of gloss.

Angel in the dark

Base: prep the skin with illuminating primer using a foundation brush, then smoothen full coverage foundation and concealer where required. Blush: add colour to the cheeks with a pink blusher and a touch of highlighter for that contoured cheekbone effect. Brows: don’t overlook this step, as it is important in determining your overall look. Fill in sparse brows or create definition with a similar colour using a brow powder with a brow brush. Eyeshadow: apply shimmer pigments in shades of gold and neutral tones across the lids to create drama, add a hint of smokey black to create a smouldering look to the crease then add false eyelashes (optional) and a sweep of flicked liner to add definition. Finish with mascara. Lips: create the perfect pout with a prominent red lipstick for instant glamour and drama.
