The Annual Show of Indian Art was back at The Oberoi Grand on July 12 and 13 and the exhibition had 65 paintings by around 35-40 artists on display at The Tea Lounge. The exclusive preview on July 12 saw guests appreciating the artworks over yummy bites and wine.
“We have sourced each and every piece with a lot of thought. We try not to repeat and we focus on being recognised as a body that sells good art. Ram Kumar’s painting, Jogen Chowdhury’s ‘Dancing Girl’ and Rabin Mondal’s painting are my top three picks,” said Ritu Agarwal (right) and Shukla Mukherjee, organisers.
Preeti Singh (left), who dropped by with friend Mohua Hussein, picked up Nagesh Godke’s acrylic untitled painting. “This was the first painting I saw when I entered and it was so unique and modern that it went well with the decor of my home. I also picked up a Subrata Gangopadhyay painting that was very colourful,” she said.
