Tata Motors has signed an agreement with BluSmart Electric Mobility to deliver 10,000 Xpres-T EVs, the largest EV fleet order in India.  Earlier in October, BluSmart had ordered 3,500 Xpres-T EVs. The present deal is a separate one.

Shailesh Chandra, managing director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd, said, “Tata Motors is taking active steps towards the rapid electrification of mobility, and it is heartening to see renowned fleet aggregators joining the green mobility wave with us.”

“We are delighted to continue our association with BluSmart Electric Mobility as we deploy 10,000 XPRES-T EVs across the country. Our Xpres-T EV fleet offers an optimal battery size along with a captive fast charging solution and has already set benchmarks in its category.”

According to Anmol Singh Jaggi, co-founder, BluSmart Electric Mobility, “With our $50 million in Series A fundraise, we are supercharged to rapidly expand across Delhi NCR and the metro cities. We are thankful to Tata Motors for charging up our journey to scale up at a fast pace. BluSmart Electric Mobility has covered 50 million clean kms and delivered over 1.6 million zero-emission rides.”

“We are building a large-scale integrated EV mobility ecosystem in India - from the country's largest fully-electric ride hailing service to the largest network of EV charging super hubs,” he said.

MG experience

MG Motor on Monday became the first auto manufacturer in India to announce its vision of MGverse, a Metaverse platform. The company will provide an immersive experience to its customers and stakeholders through multiple arenas.

With this, the brand aims to bring MG fans, customers, partners, and employees together to work, play, engage, collaborate, co-create, socialise and shop.

It will enable users to transcend beyond the restrictions of screens and the boundaries of distance into a future where everyone can be present together to create new possibilities and experience new things.

Gaurav Gupta, Chief Commercial Officer, MG Motor India, said, “Digital technologies have advanced faster than any other innovation in human history. MGverse is a step forward where users can interact with visualised data, just like in the real world. At MG, we strive to provide our customers with immersive experiences at every touchpoint. MGverse is our vision for creating our Metaverse, in which we and our partners will constantly explore, innovate, improvise, and develop new solutions to consistently enhance the customer experience in the future.”
