New Delhi, Nov. 16: ICICI Bank chief Chanda Kochhar has been named as the most powerful woman in business in India for the second consecutive year by Fortune India.
Mallika Srinivasan, chairperson of TAFE, and Aruna Jayanthi, CEO of Capgemini India are in the second and third place, respectively.
The others in the top 10 are: Shikha Sharma, MD and CEO of Axis Bank; Vinita Bali, MD, Britannia Industries; Shobhana Bhartia, chairperson, HT Media; Preetha Reddy, MD of Apollo Hospital; Zia Mody, co-founder, AZB Partners; Chitra Ramkrishna, joint MD of NSE; and Roopa Kudva, managing director & CEO, Crisil
There are six new entrants on the Fortune list of 50 most powerful businesswomen.
Others in the top 15 include Kirthiga Reddy, India head, Facebook; Naina Lal Kidwai, country head of HSBC India; Harshbeena Zaveri, MD, NRB Bearings; Amrita Patel, chairman, National Dairy Development Board, and Kalpana Morparia, CEO of JP Morgan India.
