ICC probing rebel plans

New Delhi: The ICC confirmed that it was investigating the registration of company names which it regarded as of “concern to the sport of cricket” as reports of a rebel organisation which might split the game continued to emerge on Friday. 

Meanwhile, Wally Edwards, Cricket Australia chairman, said that the Australian Board remains committed to the ICC amidst talks of a rebel organisation.  

“We remain firmly focused on growing the game in Australia for fans and participants,” Edwards said.

Chetri support 

New Delhi: Sunil Chetri has joined hands with a non-profit organisation lending support to the earthquake victims in Nepal and India. “My heart goes out to all who have lost their lives in the devastating earthquake in India and Nepal. I am supporting the effort at reaching out and providing relief to the victims in this hour of crisis.”

Fourth-placed Valencia, who have just two wins from their last six games, have 69 points, the same as Sevilla, who are fifth, while Atletico Madrid, in third, have 75.
