Defending champions Mohun Bagan Super Giant will look to continue their impressive run at home when they take on Chennaiyin FC in the ISL-XI at the Salt Lake Stadium on Saturday.

As for Chennaiyin, they are coming off a 3-0 loss to Kerala Blasters, as they are presently placed seventh with 12 points, courtesy of three victories and the same number of draws.

Bagan are unbeaten in their five home matches, winning four and drawing the other. However, their previous home loss in an ISL league match came versus Chennaiyin in March, losing 3-2.

Bagan’s Greg Stewart has regained fitness and it remains to be seen whether coach Jose Molina gives him a start or continue with Dimitri Petratos.

The Australia fared well during Stewart’s absence.

Bagan will be banking on their wing-play. Molina on Friday explained the wingers’ role and how they are utilised to breach the opponents’ defence.

“We try to use the full width of the pitch.” Molina said.
