In the new Hoichoi web series Boli, the feud between two business families in the lawless island of Chedadiya takes a new turn after the body of a wounded stranger is discovered by a tavern courtesan, Anarkali. The stranger has no name and no memory of his past. So, Anarkali calls him Rustom.

Joynal, a pastor who is well aware of everything happening in and around the island, has this indigenous knowledge of preparing medicines using natural herbs and his daughter Ayesha is the only disciple who has inherited the knowledge. Tavern courtesan Begum comes to Ayesha for the healing medicine for Rustom. Ayesha and Rustom meet each other and soon fall in love and plan to escape the island of Chedadiya.

In this crime drama from Bangladesh, the ruthless Sohrab is in pursuit of absolute power. But Rustom now seems to be in his way. Boli goes on to depict how this disastrous conflict culminates, and whether Chedadiya ever escapes the cycle of violence.

“Boli is a series which is very close to my heart because I am a huge fan of the Western and in my very first series I got the chance to direct the Western genre. The response is so far very good. Most of the people liked it here. Me and my whole team have tried their best to do a series which can attract audience and keep them hooked till the end. The experience of shooting this series was great as we have a cast of great actors like Chanchal Chowdhury, Iresh Zaker, Nasiruddin Khan, Safa Kabir, Salauddin Lavlu, Polash, Shohel Mondol, Sohana Saba and many more. Working with them was fun and the kind of locations we have showed in the series is absolutely amazing. I would like to thank Hoichoi for allowing us to make a series in a genre which is not that common for our audience,” says Shankha Dasgupta, director of Boli.
