The IGU Sub-Junior East Zone Feeder Tour 2023, conducted by Protouch Sports, begins with the first tournament between March 28 and 31. With My Kolkata as digital partner, the tour will comprise a total of 12 to 14 tournaments across India, including at venues in Kolkata, Jamshedpur, Assam, Meghalaya and Patna.

The tournament schedule has been made to ensure that its junior participants can minimise their leave of absence from school. It is expected that over 100 juniors will compete in both the girls’ and boys’ categories in 2023, with the top five players from categories A, B and C of the boys’ division set to qualify for the main IGU Junior Tour. All participants in the other categories as well as in the girls’ division will be sorted into the official IGU rankings based on their performances on the Eastern Tour. Participation and merit certificates will be awarded to the juniors, which could prove useful in their subsequent academic and sporting pursuits.

Golf clinics, with a focus on rules and etiquette, will be conducted during the events.
