“The finale for my term was a culmination of all events put together, called ‘Be You!’ I stuck with my theme the entire year by bringing out different facets of being a woman. The last one was hence simply named ‘Be You!’ Being the chairperson of the organisation was a privilege, especially in its glorious 15th year. It was special celebrating and honouring the past chairpersons and hosting the YFLO Young Achievers Awards 2023. YFLO members are extremely talented and it was a tough competition amongst the nominees. Eventually, the winners were decided based on the transparent voting system. The finale aptly ended with a fabulous performance by the band Shor Police, which members thoroughly enjoyed,” said Shilpa Sethi, chairperson, YFLO Kolkata, 2022-23.

When I received that award I realised that its support and backing which had got me here. It was a very heartwarming moment because it made me realise in that room with 500 other women, that the support which I may have taken for granted is not something that probably everyone had. I felt blessed and had so much gratitude for just having a family that said ‘we’re there’,” said Arpita.
