Jamshedpur, March 22: It’s a company that performs with panache and communicates with style.

Jamshedpur Utilities and Services Company (Jusco), a Tata Steel subsidiary, added three more feathers to its already decorated cap, winning awards for corporate communications on March 18 at the 5th Global PR Conclave 2011 held in Chandigarh. The Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) conferred the awards.

Jusco bagged the Gold Award for its wall calendar, Silver Award for corporate identity and Appreciation Award for its newsletter Jusco Samachar (English).

The glittering event had high-profile guests such as Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhbir S. Badal.

The company’s corporate communications department chief Rajesh Rajan and assistant manager Sukanya Das received the awards from Chandigarh finance secretary V.K. Singh and consul general of Canada Scott Slessor.

Notably, the PRCI Annual Collateral Awards 2011 are considered top-bracket in corporate communications.

This year, the PRCI received more than 1,000 nominations from 87 companies across 13 categories. Other prominent winners were Coca Cola India and IDBI Bank, among others.
