Quick medical solution for that acute back pain would no longer be a bone of contention.
From Wednesday, Irba near Ranchi will host a 50-bed facility dedicated solely to orthopaedic treatment. The HCG-Abdur Razzaque Ansari Spine and Ortho Centre will also specialise in joint replacement surgeries and spinal therapies.
“In short, it will be a state-of-the-art heal hub for bone problems,” said S.A. Ansari, the director of SAC Hospital Management and Consultancy Services of Ranchi that has tied up with Healthcare Global (HCG) Enterprises Limited, Bangalore, to establish the facility.
The centre, Ansari said, would offer primary and revision surgeries in the hip, knees and other joints, as well as arthroscopy, a minimally invasive surgical procedure. “Jharkhand lacked such an exclusive facility and we have tried to provide the same. We want people from the state and its neighbours to avail of good treatment at affordable price,” he added.
The Ranchi-based hospital consultancy aims to develop Irba as a “medi village”, with a SAC-HCG cancer institute already operational for the past five years. Also, there is the Abdur Razzaque Ansari Memorial Hospital, popularly known as Apollo Hospitals.
“There are many more things to do. We are associating with leading healthcare professionals in the country for investments in the state,” Ansari said.
