Jamshedpur, Jan. 11: The recent controversies surrounding Baba Ramdev notwithstanding, the seer?s disciples in the steel city decided to stand by their master during the testing times.

Though certain allegations had occupied considerable airtime, about 100-odd followers of Baba Ramdev spent an entire week learning the nuances of the various asanas and breathing techniques propagated by the guru.

The week-long programme, which was held at Shahid Nirmal Mahato Bhavan in Sonari, came to an end today. The camp was conducted with help from Julie Gupta, a Jamshedpur-based yoga practitioner, who had become Ramdev?s disciple after attending one of his training sessions in Haridwar last September.

?I have always been fascinated by his preaching, and when I got to know that I could learn it from him in person, I did not waste any time and got enrolled for the course,? said Julie. ?He was very meticulous about the procedure of treatment and made sure that we knew all about it absolutely thoroughly.?

The morning session had attracted as many as 60 people who, were there to know more about the seven different ?pranayam asanas? that experts say is capable of curing most diseases.

?Our camp was targeted at providing natural remedies to people suffering from diseases such as cancer and hepatitis. People were very enthusiastic and very eager to know more about methods that could given them home remedies,? Gupta added.

The camp was focussed on restricted medicine intake, she said, because only if natural exercises fails should one go opt for medicines.
