Budding archers from Jharkhand have won maximum slots in the Tata Archery Academy.
Nine cadets - four boys and five girls - from the state will now train at the cradle for four years. They have cleared the mandatory medical tests and will join the academy in a few weeks.
Shrey Bhardwaj, Samar Mukhi (all Jamshedpur), Amit Kumar (Seraikela-Kharswan), Abhay Singh (Bokaro), Komalika Sharma, Shaniya Sharma (Jamshedpur), Lakshmi Hembrom (Potka), Jyoti Mahto (Chakradharpur) and Basanti Birua (Chaibasa) were picked on the basis of their performance at the selection trials conducted at JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur about a month back.
