Hyderabad, Sept. 12: A 39-year-old pharmacist hailing from Andhra Pradesh was killed in a car crash at Ocala in Florida, the US, in the early hours of September 9.
Madhavi Chowdary Balineni was driving to work when she decided to take a short cut through a lane, where a vehicle coming from the opposite direction collided with her car, reports said.
"We expect the body to be flown here by Sunday after the post-mortem," said Venkateswarlu, her uncle, from the coastal town of Bapatla in Guntur district.
The Vivekananda Colony home where Madhavi's father Balineni Sambasiva Rao and mother Seetha live in Bapatla was plunged into grief.
Madhavi, a graduate in pharmacy, had been working in the US since 2002 and had married a colleague and fellow pharmacist, Trivikram. They lived in Ocala and had no children.
Madhavi is the 14th Telugu to have died an unnatural death in the US this year. Four have drowned at sea, nine have died in road accidents and one committed suicide.
