The mood: It was a merry day out in the sun at The Saturday Club presents Christmas Carnival in association with Telekids, with large groups of members and guests coming in, kids in tow. Apart from different rides and games for children, there was a photo booth where families could get themselves clicked in their Christmas best. A dance corner got the little ones grooving, while food stalls stocked with Chinese, Thai, Burmese and Italian grub kept them well-fed.
Sip & bite: Festive goodies from Krazy for Chocolates and some delish pizzas from Pizza Rhino were a big hit. And what’s a children’s carnival without candy floss and ice cream?!
CLUB SPEAK: “Christmas is about having fun and bringing people together. This time at the Christmas carnival, we decided to include not just the children but also their parents and grandparents in the various activities so that families could celebrate Christmas together,” said Renu Kapoor, member, entertainment department, The Saturday Club.
A little boy enjoys the choo-choo train like a boss!
‘I love Christmas t-h-i-s much,’ Anya Pandey, 3, seems to be saying, looking adorable in her frilly frock with a red sash.
(L-R) Friends Jahnavi Garg and Simran Kothari, both Class VIII students of Calcutta International School, had a gala time on the club lawns. “We are trying out the various games at the stalls. There are many kinds of cuisines available and we are aiming to try them all!” said Simran.
Class VIII student Suhani Jain, who lives in Ranchi, looked stylish in her blue-white striped cold-shoulder top and velvet choker.
Mother-daughter Madhumita and Riturah Sengupta were twinning in green velvet. We love Madhumita’s trendy crushed short dress as much as the faux fur trimming on her girl’s outfit.

CC&FC celebrates christmas carnival with the li’l ones
Santa Claus did come to town but it wasn’t on a reindeer-driven sleigh but a horse-drawn carriage. Taking a trip through the ground, he showered sweet treats on the kids who followed him all the way, cheering and singing in glee.
Cute alert: We went ‘awww’ when we spotted two of the youngest members of the battalion — (top) Navika Ladsaria and (above) Aashi Jain. Navika, 2, was a sight for sore eyes as she shook a leg to Jingle Bells in a pretty pink jacket. Aashi, who was out for her first Christmas carnival, stole the show in her red-and-white dress and the bow on her headband.
This mother-son duo — Simran Chopra and four-year-old Shaurya — made a stylish picture. Plaid was their pick of the day as Shaurya donned a black-and-red cap and his mother chose a blue-green jacket. “This is the time to rejoice. I have been coming to CC&FC for a couple of years now and Shaurya really enjoys his time here. So this is something we look forward to,” said Simran, a teacher at La Martiniere for Girls.
