Survival Strategies

Suhel Seth has an unconventional take on personal problems — and their solutions

TT Bureau Published 20.09.15, 12:00 AM

I’m a 19-year-old boy in love with a girl who is 18. We were in a relationship for some time. Her family is conservative and didn’t approve of our relationship as we are teenagers. They even believe in caste system. Due to a misunderstanding created by her mother I broke up with her. Now I’ve discovered the truth. I’ve also come to know that my girlfriend has feelings for me but pretends to avoid me. I’m ready to do anything to get her. Help.

Listen son do whatever the hell you want. And in future keep your questions pithy. I have a country to run and couldn’t be bothered wasting my time answering these silly long questions. Look your relationship is pretty much over and the sooner you accept it the better off you will be. This mother will remain a Gorgon so my advice is move on. You are 19 not 90 and there’s enough fish in the water.

I’m a 15-year-old boy. Since childhood days, I’ve been seeing my parents quarrel all the time and that’s continuing. This affects me mentally and emotionally. What should I do?

Buy a nice pair of headphones or some fine ear plugs. This cat and mouse game is played in most homes so double glaze your head and carry on. Yours isn’t the only home plagued by this nonsense. So chill.

You are just living in a normal home with abnormal people. Wait till you ever enter Parliament. Your home will seem like kindergarten.
