Vogue magazine has issued a call: Ugly shoes be damned. Time is apparently up for the clodhoppers of the recent past, such as the crystal-embedded Crocs, which can dull one’s senses.  Vogue’s Creative Digital Director, Sally Singer, reportedly likes to refer to them as “the death of sex” shoes.

But 2018 will be different. The year will bring back the original sexy, stylish, strappy stilettos.

Not that the stilettos ever went out of favour, either on the ramp or outside. From Kim Kardashian there to Deepika Padukone here, the hottest celebs are often found with their endless feet encased in a pair of pointed toe stiletto pumps. In India, Dorothy Perkins and Jurado are just two of the brands with a nice, cool range of stilettos.
