It’s time to say salud and buen provecho before you raise a toast and dig into your meal at Hard Rock Cafe on Park Street. The iconic international chain is hosting A Taste of Mexico festival that some delicious Tex-Mex options in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, as well as a range of tequila cocktails. 

On till September 16, the menu features some more authentic offerings such as the Chicken Enchilada, a staple of Mexican cooking, but also dishes with a twist such as Carnival Chicken Quesadilla, which adds pineapple on a favoured classic. The staff will be dressed in Mexican outfits every Friday and Saturday. “This is our way of offering a little piece of Mexico to Calcutta. Besides the food, we have an excellent line of cocktails too,” said Vanita Bajoria, director, Hard Rock Cafe Calcutta.

This Chicken Enchilada features spicy fajita-seasoned  chicken, refried beans and tangy enchilada sauce, generously topped with cheese sauce and house salsa. With a deep smoky flavour, this meal is a filling Mexican choice. Rs 545

The Wild West Nachos are loaded with a salsa of sweet corn and assorted peppers, covered with melted cheddar and cheese sauce on triangles of crisp corn tortilla chips. Sprinkled with jalapenos and green onions and drizzled with Hard Rock Cafe’s special guacamole chipotle sauce, this is a vegetarian dish that doesn’t compromise on flavour.

The fruity Amigo is a tequila-based cocktail with a dash of blueberry crush, sour cherry liqueur, tequila and a hint of orgeat. With a vibrant cherry taste, this one is sure to please lovers of sweet, strong cocktails. Rs 650
