Mumbai, March 3: Balmer Lawrie & Company today said its UK-based subsidiary Balmer Lawrie (UK) Ltd had launched a joint venture firm in Indonesia. The company established the 50:50 joint venture in collaboration with Indonesian Company PT Imani Wicaksana. The joint venture firm — PT Imani Ganda Utama — would manufacture and market greases and lubricants in Indonesia.

Prudential plc has entered into a $35.5-billion deal to buy American International Group’s life insurance business in Asia.
