Pune FC have signed midfielder Khanthang Paite from Kingfisher East Bengal on a season-long loan on Tuesday.
Paite said: “I’m happy with the move… I will try to give my best.”
Meanwhile, the East Bengal team had to wait at the Rangpo check post, in Sikkim, for two hours, on Tuesday. The team, who will play their second I-League match, against USFC on Thursday, did not have the necessary permit for their Nigerian players.
Top seed Shruti Gupta won the girls’ singles under-14 title of the Calcutta Hard Court tennis tournament on Tuesday defeating Insha Rahman 4-2, 4-2 in the final at the South Club.
In boys’ singles under-14 quarter final match, top seed Parikshit Somani defeated Kingshuk Mullick 8-0.
