At least 45 people were injured when a Guwahati-bound passenger bus (AS-01J/7970) collided head-on with a Rhino city service bus (AS-20/0750) at Azara on Friday. Three seriously injured passengers were taken to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital. The Kamrup metropolitan administration prohibited pillion riding between 6 pm and 6 am on Friday by issuing an order under Section 144 CrPC.
