Though I am not a vegetarian, I take lots of fruits and vegetables and some cereals. Come what may I always take care about the food I take. Because, it shows: if I take natural food, then it shows and if I don’t drink enough water it also shows. So I try my best to take proteins and necessary vitamins from natural foods only. I don’t count calories but I am always aware of the kind of food I am taking and also the quantity. I believe that everything in moderation is okay.

nFor breakfast, I love to have a whole papaya and coffee and that’s all.

nFor lunch, I take salads, some vegetables and sprouts and perhaps some chicken — preferably grilled.

nI take cereals in the afternoon only. Most people like it in the morning but I take it when I feel a bit low in energy level and need some pick-up. It recharges me for the rest of the day.

nIn the evenings, I usually take some vegetables and some dal, which I like very much, and perhaps some dahi.

nI take milk only with coffee. I also eat fish, but the preparation has to be simple and light. I don’t like sweets very much (not even rosogollas) but I love chocolates, and among soft drinks I take diet cokes. When in Calcutta, sometimes I take mishti doi.

nI don’t drink and smoke. Smoking is the worst thing for health. One should avoid passive smoking, too.
