Jamshedpur, March 14: Hyva Group, a Netherlands-based hydraulic automotive equipment producing company, will invest 100 million euro for setting-up a tipper and garbage compactor manufacturing unit, providing direct employment to 200 people at various levels.
The chief executive officer (CEO) of the group, Louwrens Dijkstra, said the Jamshedpur unit in the Adityapur Industrial Area would exclusively cater to the demands of Tata Motors. The production is scheduled to begin by June.
“In the first phase we intend to manufacture about 18,000 tippers per annum. All the tippers will be supplied to Tata Motors,” said Dijkstra. At least 1,200 people will be hired in various capacities, however, only 200 will get direct employment.
School gift
The Hyva Group laid the foundation stone for the construction of a school for employees’ children in phase III of the industrial area. It will enrol students up to Class VIII.
