A city court today granted bail to three persons, including two top executives of Coca-Cola, charged with helping principal accused Manu Sharma destroy evidence and flee the city after the murder of Jessica Lall here on April 30.
Coca-Cola executives Amardeep Singh Gill alias Tony and Alok Khanna and businessman Amit Jhingan were granted bail by metropolitan magistrate V.K. Khanna on the grounds that the charges against them were bailable in nature.
The magistrate asked them to provide a personal bond of Rs 25,000, two sureties of the same amount and to surrender their passports by May 22.
The court also extended till June 1 the judicial remand of Manu Sharma, son of former Union minister Vinod Sharma.
Gill and Khanna were arrested on May 4 while Jhingan was held on May 7.
Police had also arrested former President Shankar Dayal Sharma?s son-in-law Shyam Sundar Sharma (Manu Sharma?s uncle), a chartered accountant in the Piccadilly group of hotels owned by Vinod Sharma and his family friend Vikas Gill.
All three were released on bail last week.
Yesterday, the police had refused to arrest Vikas Yadav alias Vicky, son of Rajya Sabha member D.P. Yadav and one of the main accused in the case, as he ?surrendered? to joint commissioner (south) Amod Kanth at the police headquarters armed with an anticipatory bail.
