Designer Vasavi Shah has been inspired by her recent visit to Spain for her spring/summer 2018 collection Racimos, meaning cluster in Spanish, which is at the core of the design board. The pret line (right) boasts of dresses of varying lengths, maxis, jumpsuits, skirts and other separates, while the couture line (above) has lehngas, saris, capes, kalidaars, dhotis and more. The colour scheme includes subdued hues like sea foam, mint green, blush pink to brighter shades like fuchsia pink, chocolate brown and black. “Racimos comprises a ready-to-wear and a couture collection that is feminine and chic. It incorporates various renditions of florals bunched together. The collection is fluid, exploring florals, plaids and textures, keeping in mind the picturesque beauty of Spain,” says Vasavi. The collection will preview today between 11am and 5pm at Vasavi’s studio at 17/1 Broad Street.

HELLO SUMMER

It was a lit night at AltAir on March 4 as the first edition of Capella presents Sunday Sundowner in association with t2 was held. The summer special series will be held every Sunday from 5pm to 11pm. DJ Jimmy  got spinning behind the console while the revellers danced all night. They also enjoyed pizzas, pastas, a live noodle bar and an Indian buffet and washed it down with cocktails and mocktails. “It has been our constant effort to bring the newest happenings to our guests, which is why Capella has introduced this event. It is a new reason for all party lovers to enjoy and experience the best sunsets as we continue dancing under the stars,” said Nitin Kohli, business head, Ambuja Neotia Hospitality.
